Our Council was formed in July 1980 when the District Councils of Wilmington and Port Germein amalgamated. The Council Area is divided into four wards.The wards were formed from topographical features and road networks to create four communities of interest. Over the years, we've developed a solid foundation of unity and everyone in the area has a sense of belonging and ownership. The Council has worked hard to encourage open and forthright discussion and communication. Residents have consulted with Council about the things that the community wants, and we're proud of the work we've achieved together.
